I was wondering if anyone can give me the code to UNLOCK:

Thank you for your help, but I tried putting in the code 3 times, and it did not work; I tried substituting +1 with +7 and it still did not work.
I followed the exact instructions. Any tips?

you did wrong
code 1 and 7 are not the same "All code ade differente"
DO NOT USE IT

befor you try more codes check Imei First
and try an other sim card to see if it aint unlocked already

But I tried the new code (ONCE), and it's still said "error".
My IMIE is indeed: 351509001061147. And it's a Nokia 6200 with Cingular wireless USA.
Where you saying that some phone have "7" as the "lock code" and others have "1"? I am not sure i know what a "lock digit" is.
Sorry for the trouble.

Still code error.
My network says "Cingular", not "Cingular wireless" if this helps.
And it won't work with another sim.

Different message this time:
Rather than "code error", it said "Restiction cancellation impossible" (that's my translation from the French).
Is it really impossible?

Also is there a limited number of times I can enter codes?
Will my phone get blocked if we do it too much??

you only get 5 tries but if you use them up the phone still works. From the message you seem to have used all 5 tries so you need to get a fbus/mbus serial (not usb) data cable for the phone and unlock it direct with bwinlock software

Do you know where I can get the software from? And will it be able to generate a code for me?
Also rather than a cable, do you think I can do it with my InfraRed port on my computer?

no it must be a cable I'm afraid, the software reeads the data from the phone over it and uses the info to unlock the phone...

Hello, I'm new to this. Why is it so good to unlock a phone? Does it help with the performace of the Phone.
