View Full Version : Create UltraMP3 skins

hey m8's

it easy to create a skin...

1) Browse Your UltraMP3 Directory in your phone with seleq or another file manager and choose the Skin folder "*:\System\Apps\UltraMP3\Skins ..

2) Choose any skin and send it to your computer

3) Open The skin file with Winrar and extract the files.....

4) The Files is in .PCX format so you can open them with Photoshop and edit them....

5) Open the skin file again(WITH WINRAR). Delete the files, and add the new files to the skin...

6) send the skin to your phone and put it in the "*:\System\Apps\UltraMP3\Skins directory.....

7) open UltraMP3, in the options menu in UltraMP3 keep clicking on skins til your skin shows upppppp....

eh... i dont know how you can extract a file from your phone and it is .rar?

hehe if you have seleq then go to the directory as we said ":\System\Apps\UltraMP3\Skins" and choose any skin.mp3skin.... after that click on it with the main left button on the phone and choose send - Infra-red or bluetooth... when you receive the file - right click on it and choose "Open-With" then you will get a list of softwares (On your PC) Choose Winrar and the file will be opened... If winrar ain't in the list and u have it installed then choose "add" and put the winrar path....

After you extract the files with winrar, edit them with Adobe Photoshop or another favorit editor "Paint don't Work". Remember The file Skin.pcx musn't be bigger than 38,5 or 40 KB and the file spr.pcx 5KB and the file spr_a.pcx 4 KB... when your finished add the files back to the skin-file.mp3skin and overwrite the old files... send the file back to the phone and use seleq to copy the inbox (Copy the file) and paste it to the skin directory....

eh... i dont know how you can extract a file from your phone and it is .rar?

The file is not rar it's a renamed zip file (*.mp3skin)....

it's not working - can u post the skin file someplace else?
I still don't have my new 6600 so obviously can't get a skin file.
But I want already to start working on a skin in photoshop for when it arrives.. :)

it's a Mp3 Player skin not a 6600 skin.....
