Nokia turns on, but then turns off

Hello fellow Nokia users, I got a little dilemna. My friend asked me to repair his Nokia 3650, and this is the problem:

When you turn on the Nokia, it will turn on, show the nokia logo, then slowly fade away, show the logo again then fade away, then a black line goes above the logo, and the process repeats. I can't let the battery drain because it eventually turns off. Any suggestions on what I can do? Thank you for your kind time.

Start without MMC.
If it's start normaly,then it's a application error.

try formatting the fone when u take out the mmc? den delete a file, system.ini.

I had the same problem with my 7650 and it was coz i had an old firmware and the memory had filled up totally. So i hope you haven't filled up all your internal memory or anything. DOn't know if the 3650 had the same firmware problem as the 7650 had. (3.12)

Is there a way i can reformat or completely reset the phone with the use of a data cable?.. unfortunately i dont have the means of getting one.

Unfortunately there is no way out other than sending it to repair centre. this problem is due to damage to the "packing" ...that's what they call it..probably by cell falling down or something similar.
