3410 - Sim card not registered

Hi,

I recently obtained a Nokia 3410 from E-bay and the phone is supposed to be unlocked to any network.

When the phone is powered on and I have an 02 pay and go sim in the 02 logo appears for asecond and then disappears.

This sim card works fine in another pay and go mobile.

I contacted the previous owner and he stated that he was using it on 02 contract before he got it unlocked.

Please advise.

Sounds like its barred to me. If you have a cable for it you could download Knok2k3 off my Yahoo Group and if the MCC & MNC reads 00101 it is unlocked and barred

Have you tried any other network sim in it?

Does the phone reset itself after about 20-30 seconds??
You will need to update FAID if that is the case!

Try this..reheat CCONT....If phone ios not barred this must do the job..
