ringtones that u can here but wen u are bing call the dont ring

I have uploaded some music files mid en wav i can c them I can select tem on the profile menu , but went the phone ring it play the normal nokia tune en not the tunes that I have put in how can this happen , en how can I fix it, I don’t want to sent it away , does any one of u have this problem , it doesn’t have any think to do with me flash card because if I put it on the phone same problem

To play any MIDI/WAV as a ring tone, THEY MUST be placed in c:\Nokia\Sounds\Digital (for wavs/midis) or c:\Nokia\Sounds\Simple (for monophonic),
or place them in e:\sounds\digital

i see wat u mean, i onli haf tt prob when my mmc goes loose, den i haf to switch it off, put it in place, den on the fone again, den my fone works fine.

wat fone and firmware version u using? try restarting ur fone?

I find that happens when I don't close down a music application properly. I just exit with the red button and it's till running in the background.

i have no aplication running i just upload from me pc to the phone , i can hear them in de profile menu but wen i selectem the dont ring en i hear the normal nokia ringtone

well, weird probs u haf........ u set the ringtone, set everything, did u activate the profile?

and is there any chance the person callin u is in any caller groups?

Yeah I found me problem it was that had the mid file @ the simple folder in me sound folders how it came there I don’t know because I can swear I put it in the other well any away it works now en thanks for u help

So when it’s in the folder simple u can hear it en c it , but it can now b played ,
That was the problem I think all the whole time I tried so many things so many times I doud I dint do this the first time , because I don’t think I did I uploaded all correctly , but any way it works now en I’m real glad

somethin similar used to happen to mine, but it has corrected itself. i always thought it was somethin to do with memory. if you have apps runnin, receivin a msg or playin movies and you have a large .wav set as ya ringtone, i think when sum1 calls you, the fone shits itself because it doesnt know whats goin with very low memory and hence spits out the original nokia tune to tell you someones calling. mine doesnt do it ne more but thats what i thought it was.

mine was like, my mmc got loose. den the fone rang in nokia tunes, and all app come up wif error, i switch it off, move the mmc in place and it works, guess its lose, i place a piece of paper between the mmc and batt, no more of tt prob.
