First off, A very , very merry Christmas to you all. I hope you got what you asked for, or at the very least, enjoyed your day (so far).
I was delighted to get the Nokia N-gage for my Christmas and i charged it for 3 hours (according to the manual, 95minutes is all thats needed for the first charge). So i then foudn out there was software on the CD which i needed to install for installing apps. or whatever onto my phone. I installed it, then restarted my PC. I then opened the app. and told me to connect my phone then click OK. I connected my phone and a small USB image appeared on the top left screen. So i then clicked OK, and nothing happens. The connection manager says theres nothing on USB?!?!?
I have a new computer with four USB Ports, 2600Athlon XP, 512MB RAM and 200GB HDD, so my PC should handle no probs. XP Home too!
Im not very tech. savvy about the phone yet and i really would like your help on getting it working...I thank you very much in advance.
PS, i used a DCT4 calc to get unlock codes and about 6 came up. I entered the last one (ends in +7 or something) and it said wrong code. Do you know whats up with that?

the usb port juz lets u send stuff to ur mmc, it makes ur mmc become like a removable hard disk. pc suite wun connect wif the usb cable, u need a data cable, or a bluetooth dongle.
when u connect the usb cable, juz go to my computer, and click and drag files. u cant install stuff thou.

Well thank you very much for taking the time to reply. I went searching the forum beforehand but didnt see much. I literally seconds ago found a couple of threads with the same topic, co i guess on that note, sorry for wasting your time.
Geez, you would think for the money you would get everything you needed. My MMC cards only a 32MB one so unfortunately i cant put full movies on yet, but i have a 2MB celebrity deathmatch video on it (5minutes of aguilera and spears havin' a cat fight) and its bloody amazing. Much clearer than on my PC!
I cant believe how amazing this fone is. Great quality games, play full videos (eventually), play radio, play ur own MP3's....Whoa...Bloody brilliant.
Since 10am ive been constantly playing floboarding, playing the radio, my mp3's, my music videos...The battery gave in at 9pm but thats a great time considering how long i used it today!
Dont suppose anyone has any good links for cheap MMC cards? Im UK based so i cant pay dollars!
I really appreciate you all helping me out...

Yeah, i cant believe i didnt mention that! The clarity is amazing. When my MP3's play at full, its luder than my hi-fi and just as clear as DVD sound. Same goes for the MIDI and AAC files...Truly amazing.
Ive not heard one phone of any kind with the same quality in music. I see many months passing before something even rivals the n-gage nevermind superceed it.
Hey, dont suppose you know where i can get like free stuff for my n-gage? Im not talking games here cos most are illegal. What i would really want is maybe some extra ringtones, definately some new wallpaper and maybe new themes (does ngage support themes?)

Cheers Tzeonn, I just got my new N-gage for christmas and have been beating my head in trying to get that damn cable to sync with nokia suite for the past 36 hours. I even went as far as reformating my PC thinking it was that. It seems awfully stupid that the usb cable will not let you sync. What was nokia thinking with that??? I do love my new N-gage though. By the way I got my new 256mb Sunbrico MMC working on the N-gage as well!!

Hey Tzeonn here is a question for ya, I needed nokia suite so I could sync my contacts with my new Ngage and did not have to enter them in one by one. If I could find out what folder contacts were saved in, I could copy that folder off of my 3650 and onto my ngage. Do you know where this folder is???

I wouldn't know if that would work.. But here is the folder.. it will be in a diretory called c:\system\data\.. The file will be "contact.db" or something.
You will have to use a program like feexplorer to view the directories.
Hope that helps

like i said earlier, u cant connect to pc suite wif usb cable! u need a data cable, which is not available. to use pc suite wif ngage, u need bluetotoh. usb will onli let u transfer files to ur e:.

Yeah, thanks for the reply guys. I actually found contact.db and for some reason would not let me copy it. I bought a shitty toshiba bluetooth PC card and have had lots of problems with it and last night I finally got it to sync with my ngage.
