I have a 6600 and I think a f**ked it pretty bad. I cant edit contact details properly, I get errors on running applications etc...
How can i recover it? I have a file manager and I see the system files but ı dont know what to do. Maybe If I can find original and unedited system files I can replace them? Any ideas.
firmware 3.42.1

I think the command for format is *7370#...
It is the best way to get your phone back to new!

"tzeonn: try deleting a file called system.ini"
tzeonn, ı understand what you mean. But how will the phone operate if i delete the system.ini? Is it going to create a new system.ini file immediately. Will it be able to reboot? or format? Since there is no such thing as a boot disk for 6600, I am really afraid that I wont be able to switch the phone on ever again.
Does anybody know how that file system works? If I delete the whole system folder will it able to format it itself? I would appriciate if you share your opinions.

damdx, thanks a lot for your idea but I have already tried it. And the other -real- format. It didnt work either. 7370 is a key shortcut for "Return to the factory settings".
