I just got a 6600 last week and to date am not able to send or receive Multimedia messages, or use WAP services. Is anyone else in this situation or do you have a solution?

Cheers.

is that your first gprs phone?because italian vodafone needs to send some configuration messages, and then you have to wait a couple of days to be enabled.so if this is the case, just call them and ask to enable the gprs and mms ;)

Hmmm...have u had ur MMS settings configured? Try sending a blank MMS to urself. When i first got my 3650 even with settings configured, i wasn't able to send MMS out. Call my provider and they suggest sending a blank MMS to myself and it worked. If still not able after that, call Aus Vodafone.

Cheers for the suggestions. I have tried configuring the phone myself as well as getting Vodafone to send the configuration to me. Neither work. They told me that they were having problems with the handset as it is just new. Does anyone else have this phone who is a Vodafone AUS client?

i've got a 3650 on vodafone australia. if ur sim card is older than around april or year they don't enable gprs/mms and you have to ring up vodaphone and ask to enable gprs/mms for your phone. also u need to get the configuration messages at http://wireless.vodafone.com.au

Go to www.nokia.com.au

The go to Support

Then click on "About Phones"

There should be somewhere on the screen "Settings Configurators"

This is where you can get the Vodafone Australia MMS settings for the Nokia 6600.

It should work. Worked for me :D but I switched from 6600 to N-Gage now

I had the same problem with my 6600, it happens because the 6600 uses a different something other that 3650/7650 , so if u copy the settings from another phone to 6600 it wont work, u have to go to your service provider, they have special settings for 6600.

OR got to Nokia.com , OR vodafone.com .
