I have a nokia 6600. Firmware 3.42.1
Every now and then I get an error from my phone with the message: "cannot complete write to disk".
Why am I getting this message? It just happens... not too often but randomly.
There were two instances already that during receiving a message, or after reading a message, I couldn't seem to delete it manually. I kept on trying but it just wouldn't! My messaging settings is configured to use the memory card and not the phone memory. I even tried accessing it via Psiloc's Extended File Manager and Seleq File Manager and tried looking for the problem. When I found the faulty folder (in the "mail" section), I still couldn't delete it. It would just stay there. I tried opening the faulty folder which contained the buggy file but the folder won't open.
As a last resort, I reformatted my memory card so that once and for all the buggy folder which contained the message would be deleted. Then the same problem happened again after a few days. I got another message which I couldn't seem to delete! But this time, not even my message tone was working. Probably also because of that particular message problem (not sure). I reformatted my memory card again and after the reformat, my message tone was back to normal. Weird! After, I reconfigured my messaging settings to use my phone memory instead. I have been using it now for about 2 days. Hopefully it doesn't give me any more problems.
Does anybody know why I'm having this problem? Has anybody experienced the same fuckup? I certainly hope this is just a firmware glitch that could be corrected with a newer firmware version.
Sigh! Help please! :(
Mucho Thanks!
Charles
