Hello Chaps,

I have a 7650 which has decided to die of 13 months (just outside the warranty date.......weird huh! ) The problem is that it says "Insert SIM card" when you turn the phone on, I've tried my SIM in other phones and it works fine, however the problem with the 7650 still continues!

I decided to upgrade to a 6600, but there's stuff on the 7650 which I still need such as contacts (which I didn't save to the SIM), pics etc. etc.

So the question is, does anyone know if it's possible to bypass the "Insert SIM card" so I can retrieve these items? :-?

I hadn't tried that, but just have and still can't get it to work! Do you hold the ABC key as you turn the phone on or after you turned the power on? Also how long do you hold the ABC key down for?

Cheers,

Army! :-?

Sorry to be a pain, but I still can get the ABC key bypass to work! Does anyone know in what order and for how long I have to press the buttons, or can anyone else suggest a solution to bypassing the "Insert SIM card" screen?

Cheers,

Army! :D

install the "system tools" application by psiloc
and go on flight mode(without your sim card)

backup your contacts, pics, etc and go to nokia service center;)
