data cable help please

recently i bought a usb data cable for my 3530 off ebay and the driver cd that came with it is shit and doesnt work- the guy who i bought it off takes ages to reply and i dont think he is interested in helping me so i was wondering if there is any other driver software i could download and how i could get it to work with mobimb

You don't need drivers as your computer (or OS) won't recognize the mobile phone as an I/O device.

Just use some software which will recognize your phone like MobiMB. You can get it at Farsh's site (http://www.farsh2002.tk)

i have tried using mobimb but it wont recognise it as it is a usb cable and i dont know what com port i should select
any suggestions
