Newbie Question

Hi all,
obviously I am new here. :-) I am planning on buying one of those Nokia 3595 phones from Rogers, that need to be activated before being used. Is it possible to unlock it without getting the wireless provider to activate it first? Thanks,

I got the phone, entered the code provided by the free calculator, got the message "phone restriction off", but when i put the old SIM card I had in, I got the message "phone restricted" again. Do I need to call up Rogers AT&T in order to get it to work with my old SIM card?

Just want to add that I tried out the 7th code, the phone unlocked, i put the SIM card in and it started working.Thanks a lot for the online calculator and for the advice and... patience. ;)
