The Sendo X - See Hear Connect Do.

Will it really live up to the hype? Is it worth buying a fairly new brand of phone (compared to nokia and siemens etc.) Would I sleep better in my bed knowing that I have ordered a Nokia 6600 or a Siemens SX1 or even a Nokia 3660 ?

I'm not a business person nor do I care for applications such a power point etc. I wish for a up to date great looking phone with fun features (symbian - for programmes etc.) a great screen and will fit nicely into my trouser pocket.

I know people's opinions on mobile phones vary greatly. However, I would be ever so grateful if anyone could give their insight into the cutting edge mobile phones on the market and will be on the market within the next3 months or so in the United Kingdom (/Europe).

Thank you, HOT ICE

P.S. I know this isn't EXACTLY the right place to post this message but this part of the forum is where most people seem to post :-o

well, i'd sae its all up to the individual, wat he/she wants for a fone. some like games, some like to show off the fones, some like to use functions, some like the looks, some, juz wanna use it.

sendo x may be ur food, but could be another's poison. so do some research, listen to comments, and den decide wat u really want.

Isn't the SE P900 a bit big and chunky? Also it's a bit TOO expensive for what I want, which is a fun multemedia phone

comparing sendo and 6600.. i feel sendo has the features while 6600 has the ram.. haha.. i guess the choice will be whether u want a radio and a mp3 player or tons of games and apps.

correct me if i am wrong, sendo's screen is bigger rite?? tat means the apps and games out there have to be adjusted to fit to sendo isnt it?? another thing is 6600 has 10mb ram while sendo has 6mb ram.. this means 6600 has potential for supporting more programs in the future.

but sendo has the class and style.. the sexiest symbian phone alive.... :-P if i get the chance... a slim symbian phone is wat i want..

But the Sendo will support SD memory, and i believe the SD slot also may suppor SDIO support, so you can use SDIO hardware for it. The sendo is also running on a modded symbian 6.0 not the new 7.0 that the 6600 is running.

Now the real question, is did the people that did Sendo make the memory 'unified' as in, 6meg memory, but 1gig SD card? = 1.06memory total, regardless of where it is at.

that last part is the breaker, and if it setup for unified memory support, the Sendo would be the way to go if you what uBer media.. not to mention video playback on a wider screen?

For all practicality, i just ordered a 6600. i already have a pda, ipaq 2215 which i use for documents etc... but sometimes i forget it at home and wish i had it, hence the 6600 purchase.. leaving your phone is like leaving your wallet nowadays.

I'm not to keen on the FLASH for the sendo personally, that's alot of power being drained. But time will tell.

if i do recall..the sendo x does not support sdio...it only support sd card..but not sdio..so we cant add those wireless lan or even sd bluetooth to it...sure hope they could rectify the problem... rite?

Also, yes, there is an extended length in the screen size..., but it will only be used as a constant status line... which will show network & battery towers, new mssg, or alarm type notification etc... everytime! it will not spoil the programs!
Also, the promised flash light is some kind of trick from sendo... as it is not made up of Xenon tubes as in cameras but only a white LED illuminator, effective in about a meter's display!
Moreover, The user interface is where smartphones live or die. The Sendo X is designed to be very highly configurable by network operators, so the default one we saw may not be what many users get. There?s the usual screenful of icons representing programs and services, and navigation is by a four-way cursor ring with a central button. Although this stands proud of the ring and looks like a miniature joystick, it?s just a button. This is confusing if you?re used to other thumb navigation systems.

The ques is still that will we able to be as much satisfied as when we buy a nokia, with sendo??? I doubt it!!! Nokia never cheats... always gives us best value for money........... No company has yat matched nokia's trust.
BEST WAY IS.... WAIt & watch... the launch of Sendo!!!! I also read it has an estimated price of $600... which i suppose is good value for money.

I, myself, has postponed the decision of buying 6600 due to sendo. Lets see.

I just found out on Sendo's official site that although sendo has 16mb ram but only 6mb is free for applications. Now if that means 6mb will be available for us, its very dissapointing. :(.
Again... nokia delivers! they knew customers want RAM more than athing else.... they give it much for the phone to be compatible for many months!!!
