what the hell is a tom tom city map?

i have seen the thead about tom tom city maps and that there are loads of posts on it.

i was just wondering what a tom tom city map is, what they do and where i can get them from (if they are good)?

Did you read the thread? there's a link in the first post to a description of the product - Tom Tom Navigator. Tom Tom City Maps are add on maps for the program.

ive downloaded citymaps and i have down loaded birmingham but i can only install one of the files in the zipped birmingham file this cannot be the correct one as when i click on city maps it says no maps installed when i try to install the one that i am havin trouble with, which is called Birmingham-J.SIS it says "unable to install. city maps by jojo required" but the thing is i already have installed city maps.

any ideas anyone?
