Hello :)

I have a Siemens S35i, version 20. It is "imported" from germany, and now used in Thailand on TH AIS GSM. I wish to use WAP, too.

Now, all five WAP profiles are pre-set by the german "D2-WAP" and i don't seem to find a way to change those damn settings to AIS.

When i go to the menu "INternet", then "3 - Profiles" then i see 1-5 all of them D2-WAP, numbered 1 to 5.

I select any of them, say, number 2, by scrolling, and press right key "OK".

Scroll to "2 - Settings" and press right "OK"

Now i get the usual 1 - Profile Name, 2 - Dial-Up number, 3 - Call type etc etc.

I select any, say "1 - Profile Name" and press right "OK"

Now i see there the profile name "D2-WAP" and the softkeys are: Left "@Menu" and right "OK".

Pressing ANY of them just brings me BACK to the selection menu! I have no chance to change any of the settings...............

Is that "locked"..? I already contacted Vodafone germany, the D2-Provider... they keep on mailing me their settings, overlooking the fact that i am in THAILAND and want to GET RID of their settings! Also, in the already fourth e-mail, they keep saying that i can download a "Handy-Konfigurator" from their website which will send me the settings (of course theirs!) via SMS... damn hell, they just don't get that i am in Thailand and can't even download that thing because i don't have a D2-number nor am i D2 customer!

Please, someone here with S35i experience, let me know how to change those damn settings.......

Thank you so much in advance!!

your Thanh

if u have the siemens data cable (even the original one) you can flash it to a "normal" phone: u'll need the s35i eeprom, the repair flash and the latest flash version, i think it's ver. 25 or 24. if u need anything feel free 2 contact me.

cheerz,
pedro. :-P

Thank you for your help, my friend....

But i decided to sell that phone. It made me too much headache with it's permanent "Card Error" messages and it's stupid battery behaviour. I got that phone for free because of the latter, but it is almost useless because every now and then it won';t detect the SIM anymore, each time i have to open the phone, jiggle the SIM reader and put it back together... i had all that with my previous c35 phones as well, and i believe Siemens is just not my line, in terms of quality.

Gonna sell it tomorrow and get either a Ericsson t20 (the cute chubby one) or a Nokia 3210 for flashing experiments :)

Kind regards.....
