Where are the contacts stored in 6600 ?

Hello again,

i think i have to format my Mmc but before doing it i need to know where are the contacts listed which are in my phone book ?

i have more than 260 names in the list and i had written them one by one with my hands :) it was take my 5.5 hours.

i dont wanna loose them when i format my mcc , so i need to know where are they located , if they are located in mmc memory then i will get the files via Fexplorer and send them to my computer.


anyone has an idea ?

Can you not backup your phone onto your PC?

I have just switched my phone on without it's MMC card and my contacts are still on the phone, so it looks as if they are stored on the phone.
Also when i formatted my MMC i didn't lose my contacts so they must be stored on the phone memory. :D

wow i have an idea
now i will remove the mmc from my phone and then i will re-open the phone
it will use only his own phone memory and i will see if the contacts are still there or not.

I remembered when i formatted my MMC the contacts was still on my phone, so you should be ok to format the MMC.

well i removed the MMC and noticed that the contacts were still in the phone memory

so i can format the mmc now

Well that's good. I formatted my MMC as soon as i got the phone really as i didn't want all them try before you buy things on. :lol:

Use your fexplorer. Go to c:\system\data. Look for the file: contacts.cdb. That file holds all your fone's contacts details.

and if u wanna format ur fone mem, u can backup using mmc too.
