..where is it stored? On the phone memory or the sim?
My inbox currently has 3 messages, the outbox has about 45, and there are 3 new messages not in either folder yet. The three new messages take a long time to appear on the index screen (literally 2 seconds in between each name appearing). Is this normal?

Normal it stores on the sim. But if you want to be on the
phones memory move it to archive folder or any folder you've created.
Btw, whats the firmware version?? Mine is V05.01. It works fine!

Mine is 5.01 tooo, but still the reading of new messages is very slow.. I have seen similar slow things with other people's nokias, and it was the sim card that was actually the fault; a virgin sim card took about 20 seconds to open the inbox on my friends 3310, when we tried my Orange sim card, it was much faster, less thana second...
I just wondered if all 7110 were particularly slow at reading messages..
Mine is extreamly slow at displaying the messages, I'm using an O2 sims in it which I usually have in my 6310i and it has no problems displaying messages....must be a 7110 thing
Just checked mine is 5.01 as well :P
