At last N-GAGE completely crashed!

today I tried to install an app. dowloaded from overnet (p2p), firstly I treid to see certification, gm (game deck) said "App. error and closed" and try to install gm said it again, I use fexplorer to install it, then I got "system error" then whatever I tried to do, I got system error. and I decided to turn off and turn on again, but gm never turn on again! I'll take it service tomarrow, but I'm wondering that what if they find out the game red faction installed on nokia game mmc what happen? so it is not legal to copy a cracked game to ur mmc, is it? so I won't take mmc, just take gm :)

so never try to install bluetooth-wlan-connect1.2.cracked.6600-ngage.sis from overnet! it may a virus or sth... btw, anyone know what is it? is it a tool to recieve ieee 602.b wlan signals like intel centrino does?

is anyone know an anti-virus for s60 phonez?

holding the pencil button when u boot up ur fone, if it works, u shld b in ur fone menus, format ur fone from there, or maybe format mmc too. tt is, if u can get in safe mode.

i jaz turn it off and boot it to safe mode and my fone alryt again. Try safe mode. hope it works for yah. :-P

have u tried typing *#7370# on phone after it boots up(main screen)

as this is format restart phone to factory settings it works every time my n-gage has F££ked up

guyz, I tried all combination of pressing pencil button when I boot up (pressing & holding before power button, pressing after power button etc.) but nothing change! damn!

now I'm asking how can I type it if fucking phone never open?
I'm telling again, when I try to boot up the screen light on and nokia logo appear then everything fading away on the screen. and also when fading away process some horizontal lines appear on the screen even over the nokia logo... :evil:

btw, I told about the safe mode to nokia care, and they said they don't know anything about the safe mode, and she said "maybe u mean booting up without sim card" I said no, I don't anyway... (whattha? :)

I scan all of filez downloaded from net before installing phone (anti-virus base up to date) but this change nothing...

Have you tried changing the battery? I had a similiar problem and all I had to do was to change the battery, and everything worked fine again. After a couple of hours I changed the battery back again, and it worked. Dunno if it'll work for you though.

ist not virus it badly cracked proggie , and u still can type that code after u turn it on screen miessed up or not i know i have fixed 2 this way just type code wait a sec press left softkey twice and it will start formatting the phone IF THIS dont work take to a reapair center your n-gage is fu6ked

and formating means it erases all software of phone then reinstalles it that code is not for formating is for hard/soft reset it was implemented in all symbian phones FOR THIS REASON

I had the same promlem just the other week. I too had Red faction copy installed but my version worked. My phone did exactly the same as yours and I had to send it to Nokia. The copied games will be saved to to mmc and when you send it away you just send your phone and battery, not your sim or your mmc. I got mine back in about 10 days. (UK)

it fuked up my fone for good ..it wont load the OS just the nokia logo then it shuts down exactly like urs..

pressing the 3 buttons den switching on the fone formats the fone, hehe.

after u format c:, rem to format ur mmc again, to totally clean up the fone. its up to u if u want to thou.

today, they said we decided to take it back, and I said ok, but my mmc (the default one) is password protected and red faction installed on it, so I need format it before give it back but I have no n-gage and my mmc reader doesn't detect it cuz (I think) it's password protected...

is there any program for pc, to read and write password protected mmc'z?

try deleting a file called system.ini, and restart ur fone, if it doesnt work, u haf to format ur fone wif the *#7370# code.

lock code is ur security code. default, if u haven changed, is wat reaper said, 12345.

If you look just left of the battery there is a hole where you can see the circuit board, and there is a small black button. Apparently this is a restart button, but I've never tried it. I also read that if you stick a pin in that little hole above the socket for the charger it resets, but I'm pretty sure that's the microphone, so don't try that.

You can try either of these at your own risk.

Let me know if you do try, and what happens.

all u need is up there but none of them helped me :) so I took it to nokia care bla bla bla then they decided to take it back, and tomorrow I'll take the box to nokia care and my n-gage will be history :) maybe I'll buy 6600, who knows lol.

well, u haf to ask bout sth new in forums. u nv noe if it works, for me, i dun rush to install anything juz out. i wait a while. and its best if u back up ur fone, juz in case. go to mem to back up ur c: on mmc.

yup, it deletes everything, so the fone becomes like the state it was in when u 1st bought it.

But if you want to format, might as well do the Green + * + 3. It has the same results.

Somehow, on my previous 6600 - when I restored original settings with *#7370# (note, *#7780# is the same!)
after it restored original settings, i couldn't send MMS. dont know why.

I had to use the GREEN, *, 3 to send proper MMS again. What's wrong with *#7370#?

u cant, u need to noe the password.

1. You can't format the MMC on your phone because you don't know the password

2. You can't format the MMC on a USB Card Reader/Writer because the MMC can't be detected if it is password-protected
