can't increase the volume

i have a 8210 and it has a problem with the ring.
i am changin the ring volume but it is remaining at level 1.

Try reflashing the phone with upgraded software and try replacing the ringer

How did problem start??
If it was water damage use chunkheads cleaning technique this will sort it!

Seen this problem with someone who had dropped their phone, What had occured was the small contacts which sit behind the volume control had become flattened when it had been dropped, should have been like a small dome, but was inverted. Solution I did was to "pop" it back out by using a small pin to pull it out. There is probably easier ways, but that was the way I did it. Still works well over a year down the line.

When you say that the ring volume stays at level 1,do you mean that it says so on the screen,or does it stay very quiet? If it stays quiet,replace the ringer,as it is impact damaged,or fluid damaged[most likely].If you still have a prob.,let me know fix
