6600 Colour Modifications

hey i was thinking over this, kinda weird idea but i would like some1 with photoshop skills and the software to colour the 6600 in full silver. i am talkin bot the sides of the phone and maybe the yes and no buttons as well. u know like how ppl used to paint their 7650's like that i would like to see a simulated 6600 as well. hope some1 agrees with me on this. thanks.

Well im not 100% sure what you are asking, but if its anything like what i want, i want to modify my light grey 6600 to the rose colour (which to me looks like silver) http://users.tpg.com.au/adslne0f/mR_CaESaR/Nokia/Grey_6600.jpg

I would have purchased the Rose colour in the first place, but unfortunatley there's only 1 colour available here in australia :(

I'm going through a lot to make this modification, hence me asking around the thread if anybody knows how to open the 6600 or if anybody has service manuals for the 6600.

I see the .gif icon but when i rightclick and save picture, i just get the gif icon but not the original picture.

can someone help me on this?

I'm going through a lot to make this modification, hence me asking around the thread if anybody knows how to open the 6600 or if anybody has service manuals for the 6600.


I had the front off mine to change the 'A' cover (bit with lens in) scrathed my screen nicely and got a Rose 'A' cover it is dark silver in most lights but does have a hint of purple to it, its nice but doesnt quite go with the rest of my phone (white!). There are no screws that hold the front on its just clips (like siemens) under the rear cover there are 2 small round holes where i think a proper opening tool would go, i used a paperclip which loosened them a touch then kept running my nail round the sides and eventually it crept apart. Then put the new cover on and forgot to put the buttons in so had to take the bloody thing apart again......Doh!
