Hey everyone. I've been using my 7650 for almost a year now and am getting a new phone as a birthday present. I've been looking at the 6600 for a few months & think it's an awesome phone but lately I've been looking at the Sendo X which I think is better features wise. So can someone tell me whats good/bad about each phone?

sendoX, dont even look at the 6600 it really isnt what the hype says!! played alot on it!! its pants, and i has really be pissed on with the reviews!!! look at sendox o look a bit at the siemans sx1, if you can look at the p900 amazing phone!!

I am very pleased with my Nokia 6600 :D and haven' any problems that I could not sort out. :) Any and all information is freely available :) These last few years I have remained a very loyal Nokia consumer and the Nokia 6600 is by far the best they have produced. :lol:

HOWEVER.... Notwithstanding, I have my vices:

Sadly there are few colour options in the way of esthetics :sad: THERE IS NO BLOODY DIAGONAL FUNCTION ON THE JOYSTICK :evil: and finally, apart from being only MONO, the sound quality isn't top :-x

Sacrifices sometimes have to be made :-?

I have very little knowledge on the Siemens, but as I said I have always stuck with NOKIA due to its fuctionality - it just make sense.

True. But I'm starting to get sick of Nokia making these "i" phones like 7250 and 7250i for example.

Plus, the 6600 hasn't given me problems. But it has for the global community. Forcing upgrades to Symbian OS7 and using WAP 2 Browser without backward compatibility.

However, the features on Nokia phones are great, as I agree with Spiritus Sancti.

the 6600 is far slower than previous s60 phones i have used my 3650 for nearly a year now and it was sooooooo painful using the 6600!!! nearly ever app i installed system error, system error, the joystick feel extremely cheap and plastic, vidoe quality is far worse than other s60 phones but i understand a firmware upgrade(not out) could fix this, it has had far too many bad reviews and has been compared to sx1 and sendox even though it has an upgaded software the 6600 is OUTDATED!!!! and what does your lovely 6600 do that my 3650 doesnt do?? themes?? well i just use slauncher!! play n-gage games?? i use my n-gage for that, nokia have just made a very poor quality copy of the 3650!!!

heez, i doubt a firmware fixing software incompatibilities will ever be out, unless they change the os, otherwise u live wif mani app not workin.

y not wait a bit longer, more fones are coming out. if u cant wait, well, stick to the nokia i'd sae, hehe. i juz dun trust other brands den nokia and sony ericsson. sendo? sounds bad, hehe.

im keeping an eye out for 7700 thou, hehe.

Thanks guys. I think I'm going to buy the Sendo X cuz it does sound much better. Does anyone know the release date the the Sendo X? It was ment to be released at the end of last year but it wernt.

Dear X Bobster,
I myself am a Nokia 6600 Owner, and I do not find any major problems with it except that the video clips are limited to 10 seconds only(Great Quality Though), and Mono sound even with a headset. The other thing is that the whole body and joystick are quite cheap & plasticy, they start squeaking within a week and my joystick has sunk in and is only half as high as it used to be (it has to be plucked out every time I am using it).
That said, the Sendo X does seem like an amazing little phone and With every thing that I wish the 6600 had and more. It even has a second/seperate graphics chip so it should be a lot faster. The flash apparently is an LED, so do not expect amazing results with it. The video is unlimited and sound is Stereo even through the speakers. All of this for a price roughly equal to or lower than the 6600?
I dont want to be a doubting Thomas here, but I seriously wonder if it is all possible. they have already missed their release date a long time ago, and I read at infosync.com that when Sendo had a press briefing, the review model they showed people had a code analyzer / bug catcher program running in the background, so they couldnt record video, or use any resource intrensive apps. Moreover, I dont think it has got FCC approval even yet.

If they do release the phone as specified, I would be the happiest, and buy one in a shot. But until they do, I wouldnt make any plans.

Thanks a lot Ugen! Yeah everyone keeps saying on here that the 6600 isn't what it was hyped to be. I'll think I'll wait and buy the Sendo X. :):)

and whats with this 6600 bashing? its a great phone.. just those money hungry nokia bastards didnt want to give it too many features so you still had to buy other phones :o(

6600 have nokias handicap mms where you are not allowed to use midi files.

Sendo X have Radio in Stero
6600 Dont have

Sendo X have stereo mp3/radio
6600 have a check barbie speaker in mono

Sendo X have unlimited video (With sound)
6600 have 10-12 seconds .. woow..

The list goes on ..

I am selling my 6600 as soon as the Sendo X hits the stores.

Or you can just go with the 6620 and stay in the nokia family. It supports stereo as well as new apps and more memory. And at the delay rate that Sendo X is at the 6620 will probably come out before it MUAAHAHHAAHA!!! :lol:

Sendo has Bright led called (flash) for the cam
6600 doesent.... u can buy a torch light though!! LOL try those white LED lights u can get them frm camping stores or fishing shops. Definately brighter!! WAhahahah its small can compact to.

Would anyone know if the chorme parts of the sendo made of alu? or juz coated on normal plasttiky thingy magic..?

Sendo oso has a mirror or self portrait...
6600 guess and point! LOL

only thing unsure if wether all games will work on the sendo anot.

Still the 6600 is a great phone, and i'll juz stick to it until nokia comes with a Sendo X of their own! Im 100% convinced that they wont make another upgrade of the 6600 but a whole NEW phone wich has all the features.
And the whole look of the Sendo is just horrid, and i wouldn't give a trade it for my 6600, but every1 his own opinion...

I don't know waht is really important for a phone, but I'm a dev and I prefer a phone with the bluetooth protocol... and the sendo X don't have it.

You're right! i could have made a copy + paste of your post cos' that is exacly my poit of view... Btw, Sendo is not that stable as you may think... I tired of see people complaining about the performance of his Sendo's, too much hung ups and slows access to menus after using the phone for some days... Think about that. Nokia is Nokia, less functions but at least works and are stable!...

not sure if the new firmware will fix the slowness, i like to tink that firmwares upgrade are there to make ur fone more stable.

u can get a firmware upgrade at nokia.

To get rid of your 6600's slowness, follow this setting:

1. Go to Main Menu -> Log.
2. Click Options -> Settings -> Log duration.
3. Set Log duration to "1 day" only.

Now, enjoy a much faster 6600! :smile: :smile: :smile:

when nokia finally release a firmware upgrade for the 6600 to fix all the little bugs like the no vibrate when on silent and doesnt always show contacts name when you get fone call and msg but instead just the number etc, it will make the 6600 a much better fone i think

well i stick with my sexy 6600 and i love this phone! i have not had any problem`s with it yeat! so i can not complain and it is cool that it can run so many n-gage games too that is a big + and like Andy_7650 say sendo x is a ugly phone :-P
