After looking through the other threads at playing MP3s, one guy suggested converting the MP3s to AMR as they are more compressed and take up less space. This idea sounds good to me, so i was wondering if anyone knew of any software which can play AMR (apart from the standard recorder of course!!) which would let me create a playlist? UltraMP3 and the like don't seem too keen with AMR. Also, when using the handsfree, is there anyway to disable the main speaker? The standard nokia recorder with the 3650 cuts the main speaker with the handsfree connected, but realone and ultra mp3 etc just reduce the volume, rather then turn it off completely. Any ideas? Cheers

convert to wav is your best option, i never had mp3 on my 3650 only .wav smaller than mp3 and in my opinon on the phone better quality, 1mb for a typical song!! not forgetting when converting it to change it to mono so you dont loose half the song when playing it through the shit speaker, also there is a neat technique for listening to the music through the dual heaset available you just have to slowl insert the jack and for some reason the sund stops in the peaker dont know why but it works ive been doing it for ages!!!

Is that with a 3650 that it stops the main speaker? Otherwise, a format with less loss would be better... the main reason i chose AMR was because the nokia audio recorder cuts the speaker when the handfree is on. Any ideas? Thank for your help

Yeah, course it is... that'll teach me for not reading a post properly... I have discovered that the nokia phone manager software converts the WAVs before sending them accross. A 3mb tune i wanted as a ringtong the other day went down to about 180kb, which is impressive...
