8210 No signal and No operator logo shown

Hi

I have just bought a 8210 off ebay and it turns on ok and the battery level is shown on screen but there is no signal bar.

Also, there is nothing where the BTCELLNET logo would normally be shown.

Can someone please help me out here, have i been ripped off

U need to set faid and also do a sp-lock clear. hope this helps. :)
