Hi all (newb) be gentle please :)
I can't seem to get Windowze XP to see my MMC card that came with my N6600.
The card reader is ok with the SD card from my Ipaq, but just says 'insert media' when used with the MMC.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
KevinO

First of all make sure your card reader reads MMC...Just because it reads one or two cards doesnt mean it can read them all, so check first to see if it can use MMC.
Did ur phone come with a usb cable? use that instead - connect it to ur PC and Phone then the MMC will show up as a removable drive in the 'My Computer' folder. Simply drag and drop files onto it.

Hi there,
Thanks for the quick reply.
The card reader is a Jenoptik SD/MMC reader, so I would have hoped it capable of reading both media types.
The Nokia 6600 doesn't (or mine didn't) come with a cable, as I understand it (and I could well be wrong) the only connection types are IR, BT and sending email with the attachments to an email account for later downloading and installing.
hmmmm.....

Thanks once more for the advice.
D@mn Orange network security or a dodgy mmc card. :-x
Formats ok in the 'phone but won't read in my Ipaq or a MMC/SD reader.
Just received a 128mb mmc from ebuyer (£27.00 inc p&p & vat) and the card formats ok in the 'phone AND is readable by the Ipaq and the MMC/SD reader.
Will keep the supplied card as a last resort only.
Thanks again,

Jay,
Thanks for your reply.
I also have had two occasions whereby a message in my inbox (ringtones and themes) could not be deleted (I removed them by formatting the card)
Orange technical support was non-existant!
'Sorry sir, we can only tell you how to reset your phone, it's so new we haven't yet been fully trained on it'. :-o
DUH! I even had to tell one so-called support person how to do this simple task. I could just see her writing the steps down as I did it.
I have arranged for the entire phone package to be replaced this Saturday.
But from your message, it certainly sounds as if I got a duff card and that may have caused my stuck messages.
Thanks once more for all replies.
Best,
