-When I format my phone, what will _exactly_ happen?
Can I format it without using 'System Tools' from PsiLoc ?

-And how do I delete stuff from my 2 romdrive, its 15mb!! and my FLASH is 4mb and my ram is 4MB, so it would be awesome to use the 15megs on that Z-romdrive (atleast Fexplorer says so)

-Another question, what is bluetooth exactly? its something with radiowaves right? would it be possible to 'catch' fm-radio, or is the bluetooth-hardware not capable of receiving those frequencies?

-What applications are you gusy using on your cellphone?
im using:
ebook (+ebook maker)
screentaker
PC remote (control pc with bluetooth)
Goboy (GB(C) emulator)
Cam Pro (or Philips camcoder, best video util imo)
spaceDoubler (zips the apps so you can install more, unzips when u use them, zipping costs lots of time tho for big progs)
Total IR (turns your mobile into a remote control for all devices working with infrared, mobile's infrared is only strong enuf for 3metres tho :| )
RS60 (for control of your mobile on your pc+ for using mobile as webcam)
Bemused (controlling winamp via bluetooth, very good app, bugless)
Smart Launcher (+Skin editor: v cool (custom) skins, takes some ram tho)
CameraFX (small and cool image editing)
miniGPS

-Whats the difference between ETI Camrecorder Pro and (Philips?) Camcoder aka Cam Pro?

I got an nokia 7650, and with SpaceDoubler I got 1500kb left of the 4000kb in the flash memory
Which programs are a must? and which one is better, spacedoubler or smt else?

Well first off, when u format your phone, it will go back to the orignal state that u bought it in. Just press *#7370# to format the phone.

And to my knowledge, the Z drive is the RAM.

Bluetooth is a wireless connection between 2 compatible devices which allows data transfer. Mainly the devices need to be within 10m of each other and no it's not possible to pick up radio signals.

Hope I helped ya out.

XBobster got it right. You can't 'tap' fm radio via bluetooth. They're using different frequency bandwidth. FM radio communicates on a frequncy of 100MHz while bluetooth uses 2.4GHz.

Z Drive is the ROM (REad only memory), not the RAM (random Access Memory). It is used to store the operating system (SYMBIAN) and other crucial phone stuff. When you get your phone flashed, the firmware is updated, as is the Z drive.

so you can put custom, permanent stuff on the Z drive by flashing? because lots of apps off the firmware are on it

I mean, I could put all my apps I use alot onit, so I have lots of space for other stuff!

btw, where can I find more info about flashing my 7650?

No, you couldn't, because the ROM is just big enough to hold everything the phone needs to work. Its not as if you can delete stuff and add stuff when you want.

For info on flashing, check the flashing section of this forum:

if that is so, how can you upgrade your phone to a newer os with more functions (thus more apps?) and how does Nokia let certain providers put their stuff on it ?? like images and so

newer os? no way, at least not for nokia. nokia onli haf firmware updates to solve the bugs in previous firmwares.

Thank you Tzeonn. That is what I was trying to say. IT's more like upgrading (flashing) your computer's bios that anything else. You can't really compare it to upgrading Windows 98 to Windows xp for example. BEcasue you're not actually upgrading the operating system. When a phone is released, there will be problmes with it. When people report these problems to Nokia, they eventually build what is essentially a "patch", or firmware upgrade. The upgrade justs fixes bugs and minor problems, but can also add new features which don't use memory (for example, bigger memory card support.)

Isnt it EPROM and not ROM ?

Erasable Progamable Read Only Memory

Is it not EEPROM (electronically erasable programmable read only memory)?

I used "ROM" because thats what the z drive is referred to. The actual chip itself is the EPROM or EEPROM.
