n-gage usb data cable help

hi...please help me :p

I have a nokia n gage...
with it I got a DKE-2 USB data cable (I am pretty sure it is an original data cable)...
I got a software CD with my phone with software etc. on it like PC Suite...
ive tried to use my usb data cable with my pc but it doesnt seem to work..
when I plug it in..it says NEW HARDWARE FOUND.. then I follow the instructions to install the new hardware...and then it asks me to restart my computer,

so i do...(believe it or not!!)

now, ive never used a usb data cable before but isnt a new drive supposed to appear in 'My Computer' ?
then when my computer comes back on...
nothing happens...no 'new' drive appears in 'my computer'...it just does nothin and acts as though it hasnt installed anythin...
it doesnt even give me any option ANYWHERE to transfer files to my phone..

please help me fix this problem cos its really annoyin!

-by the way I read the previous posts of the nokia n gage and id just like to make a comment, the n-gage is really ACE!!

do u have mmc card in ur n-gage ?if yes then may be ur mmc card some how cant reconice by th eusb cable come with the fone u just have to buy mmc reader for tranfer file from pc to mmc.if kno mmc in ur fone that the resone y u dont c anythign pop up ^_^

u gotta haf a mmc card, otherwise it wun detect it. its not necessary e:, could be any drive name.
