Yes if the phone is not locked you can use it in the USA because it is a tri-band phone that supports the 1900 network and there are many 1900 network providers in the USA but also 850 network providers wich aren't supported bij the 6600. The provider depends on the area because the USA is so big that they have dozens of providers. The 6600 chooses the strongest network automatically but this depends on your provider cause they need to support roaming between the networks.

yeah, i'd wait for the 6620 if you have about 3 months to wait? ... i expect ATT.. which is being acquired by Cingular wireless i beleive will have the phones soon. there's some technical differences, if your a heavy online user. the EDGE bandwidth might be a good upgrade since GPRs is pretty slow, even on wap sites...

not to mention it'll have stereo vs mono on the 6600, faster processer, and double the ram... glad i bought an extended warrenty for my phone *GriN* :D

you dont have to worry about it, the 6600 is the same frequency as the 3650 so as long as you go with a provider like At&t or Cingular or Tmobile you are fine. Other then that the phone wont work it has to be a GSM provider, I hope that helps!!!

Oh and by the way, you really are better off with the 6620 not just because of all the specs but it carries the 850 frquency and at&t and cingular both use the 1900 and 850 frquencies so you will have good reception in pretty much every urban area.

I know 6620 will be better, but I already have 6600 and do not plan to stay in States very long. So I'm gonna stick to T-Mobile or AT&T.Thanks everybody, I appreciate your help

One more thing..Since 1900 mhz is my only option, will I have weak reception most of the time, or will it be ok?
