If this is not another hoax (I'm not saying it is) these are bad new.. however, you bt turned off(that's the idea I got from ur description) it would impossible to actually someone mess with ur bt setting/phone..its the same thing as a computer trying to connect to teh internet without a modem.. :-\ I'm sure some more experience ppl will also give they're opinion too.. but I'd say this is the "latest" version of BTMASTER lol..

Hmmmm.....

If I was a BT hacker, what's the fun in reducing the number of potential people I could hack by disabling their BT? I would rather have your BT enabled so I could hack into your phone data repeatedly and extract or maybe mess it up a bit. I wouldn't totally disable the only path I have in hacking into your phone.

That's like hacking into a computer and disabling their modems permanently so I could not do any more damage, data extraction or use their bandwith, now which hacker would do that?

C'mon dude, is this even real? I don't beleive a word of it!

Why would someone take a screenshot of their bluetooth settings screen, before anything has happened?

I don't know shit about the BT protocol, but I say this is a hoax.

well u gotta think like the hacker... the hacker wants to hack u once, not twice or more... and i think disabling the modem on a computer would be exactly what a hacker would want. he wants to do damage... and he sure has here, ur bt is fucked up. i suggest u go to nokia care center

try a *#7370# reset?

well, maybe the hacker has played enough wif the fone, and disabled the bt.

anyway, last solution is u flash it at nokia.

the article i posted earlier was that it would be easier for the person to hack you with the bluetooth off than it would be with it on although it is still possiable bluetooth hacking is not a hoax or nokia would not confirm that there is a security issue.

Maybe he's not making this up guys. I mean, the first thing I did when I got my phone was randomly take screenshots of every possible menu.

It's a hoax guys. If you right click on the pictures and go to 'properties' you can see the the 2nd - 'Bluetooth BT Hell' is a considerably bigger file size than the 1st - 'normal' screen. This means that the 'Bluetooth BT Hell' is simply a modified version of the 1st normal screen ;) This guy is a joke

:-P OMG I'm the new Culumbo!!!

This whole scenario just isn't plausable. If your BT is not on, further, if the "connecting appliance" is not paired with your handy, your phone just aint listening for BT signals. It's just like "sharing" drives on a network... if it aint on it aint on. If by some mirracle of Mars alining with Jupiter and the moon being in the apex and someone was able to instruct your phone to turn BT on remotely - not via keypad - your phone would request permission to accept connection before it was "raided".

The whole idea ( now 8 months and counting ), if true, would indicate flaws not only in the BT encryption but also WAP. Meaning that every BT appliance and WAP Access Point is now a security weakness. Since BT and WAP are basically 2way radio, fundamentally every encrypted Tx/Rx system (thats not hardwired - incase anyone felt like symantics) is now flawed.

Do you really think all that R&D into secure transmittion would allow such a security issue.......WAKEY WAKEY PEOPLE - THE USA MILITARY HAVE SPENT BILLIONS ON THIS - Do you really think a Symbian phone can undo all that?

Remember - if it sounds too good to be true - IT DAMN WELL IS!

A round of applause for the smart arse who started this in the first place (not this thread), just watch them all worry, theorise, and discredit the possibilities (me included).

In my experience I found Star Trek a much better fantasy, than how a little phone, with a little programme brought the Western World to it's knees.

Thanks I feel better now :)
