mp3 compressor

is there any mp3 compressor that can compress my mp3 to 1 mb or less.. my mp3 have a huge size.. thanks..

First off what phone do you have? if your phone is mono and not stereo there is a decent program called OggPlay. This does a decent job for the mono channel devices. But if you have a stereo device like the ngage I found that musicmatch jukebox does a nice job. I personally have an upgraded version of this program so i cant remember what the trial or free version has in it but if it has the following function it will modify your mp3's great and get them to a manageable size. I manage to get for example:

3 AM.mp3
3.46 MB (3,633,681 bytes) before
1.30 MB (1,364,856 bytes) after

Alanis Morissette - Uninvited.mp3
4.23 MB (4,443,919 bytes) before
1.58 MB (1,662,182 bytes) after
thats alot of difference. The only drawback is they went from 128 kbps to 48 kbps this is a drastic quality reduction so it needs to be considered if you are serious about your music. personally I only notice a little in performance differences in the 2 settings but with the lower setting its mostly noticed at extremely high volumes. with a crack and pop every now and then.

Just convert mp3 to wma or acc with nokia audio manager. This will make sound quality worse but it will sure free some space.
neiltoe, thx for the explenation but that's for more likely to be used by advanced users who know there way around in the world or converting.
Nokia's audiomanager is more standard and easy to use

I am using a software call DietMP3. My mp3 file that is 4mb now is only 450kb. that ok for you? just google it dude! though i am still finding the crack for the software.. tell me if you find it ok?

hey dudes can 6600 play a .wma format type of mp3??? can the real play it or r u gonna use any other player??? by the way just use blaze media pro to convert ur mp3 file but its sound quality will get down

or u can simply use the nokia multimedia converter to convert MP3 into AMR format...it will cos u up to ard 500kbs per song...its realli cheap but the sound quality isnt fantastic but u can have a huge data of muxic!!! try it!!!

ia m using diet mp3 also but its cant compress much .. abt 4 mb compress only to 2 or 3 mb. any way to compress much ?
