After flashing 3650....

after flashing my 3650 with griffin box, I get
"Phone start-up failed. Contact the retailer."

How do I fix this?

Now u need to do FORMAT USER AREA .After that work 100%

i fix them by flashing PPM and make FFS after. usualy works from the first try.

u may also want to modify your cable to manualy put the phone in Local mode. it will save u lots of troubles when formating user area.

To fix the problem, follow below instructions:
Ok now, i will send you three ace file that you need a program called winace to extract it.
First file erase.ace---> this file contain all the fia file which erase the program in the flash IC .
Second file pm.ace--->contain the network frequency which you need use "n36big.pm" to upload to the phone after using erase file.
Third file is sim.ace--->contain sim unlock rebuild to unlock your sim card.
Your phone is WD2 so use "short_a5_u.sim" to unlock sim.


Use it according as ppm:
1.3650_erase_flash0_flash1_flash2.fia
2.3650_erase_LFFS.fia
3.CCSErasePMM.fia

Then upload correct pm file as told.

Then flash the phone with the main nhl8xxxx.xC1 file as ppm
Then flash the phone again with secondary fille name nhl8xxxx.0XX
The last XX represent the country type ppm.

you have using the wrong flashing procedure..
writing pm file is after flashing both firmware..C1 and PPM

How can i upload *.pm to phone while it has no power and this opreation need to power on the phone or using autopower

you can't upload the pm file while your phone cannot be switch on. Your must be in Local Mode so that pm file can be send to.

How to Repair "Contact Retailer" in WD2 Phones (7650 and 3650)




Step 1: Re-flash phones firmware back to its original firmware or higher with Prodigy


Step 2: Enter Prodigy's "Phone Reset:" menu


Step 3: Restore phone "Full Factory Settings"


Step 4: Reformat User-data and wait for 3-6mins . Phone repaired!

It is switching into local mode automatically if your cable have been modified with BSI to Ground 68K, BSI serial cable 3.3K. Check you cable.
