Hi everyone,
I'm not very mobile-savvy, so now I've a problem with my Alcatel One Touch 311 phone I purchased abut a year ago. It's locked unto Vodafone, and I've been trying to unlock it with the HEX code.
Unfortunately, the code I have has the letter 'b' in it, and I am unable to input letters into the screen while in the 'entering SIM KEY' mode. Any help or comments are appreciated. Here's all the relevant info:
Alcatel One Touch 311
IMEI 332287678280464
Version 104 05
BF31W
Unlocking Code from IMEI: 98473b90
Purchased from the Netherlands at Vodafone, ~March 2003
I need to know:
1) Is it possible to enter letters when not in message- or notes- writing mode with that phone? (I tried to replace 'b' with '2' and it was no good.)
2) Is the unlocking code correct?
3) Is it possible to enter in a 'numerical equivalent' to my HEX code?
4) Is it possible to unlock my phone with the remote code, or do I need to bring it somewhere for a cable-connected unlocking job?
Thanks for just reading this far. I'm quite disappointed and am beginning to think I'll have to go and spend cash on getting my phone unlocked, which I really can't afford as a poor graduate school student (hence the cheap phone, and needing to unlock it for UK networks).
Please offer any comments or advice, and please feel free to contact me at [email protected]
Have a good weekend,
Pei-Yi
