I've got a 6600 and I want to be able to play MP3's. No.1 problem is I need to know where I can download the software and any cool mp3's (no chart crap). No.2 problem is that I'm a mac user & cant get any cables or software to connect my machine to my phone. Also I only have the memory card that comes with the phone so any ideas on how many songs I can store?? Not expecting very many hey? I'd really appreciate a reply, I need the mp3's to drown out the sound of other people on there phones on public transport! :-?

thats one reason to not get a mac... no software! aw well, a usb card reader would work for transfering files. the best mp3 player would be ultraMP3, get it from www.aivanet.com. for mp3's use p2p (gotta be at least one p2p for mac right?... right???). and about how many mp3's to fit in the mmc depends on if u compress them or not... u should check out dietMP3... no wait! ur on mac. well one mp3 is around 3 - 4 mb.... ur mmc is 32mb so its not really that many unless u compress them somehow

Lol, i know MAC's don't support serial data connections and cables, but i'm sure they support infrared and bluetooth!, so you can use that..! And wats the point of having such a great phone with such a small MMC...? Get a higher Capacity one man..!

You can get MP3s off Kazaa (its about the only things its good for).

You have a 32MB MMC right? Well, most songs are around 3-4 meg, so you could fit around 8-10, but if you lower the bitrate of the songs, then you could fit a lot more.

Great news is that iSync 1.4 now supports Nokia 6600! Now matter what platform you use, PC or MAc, you have to use Ir or BT because 6600 has no cable connection (in USA). Another problem you will run into is that there are no BT headphones (vs headsets) that deliver good quality stereo sound, and I can't find an adapter to connect my own. I just recently spliced wires on the 6600 standard headset and connected a standard 3.5 headphone adapter. Its not pretty but at least I can workout and listen to music.
