im having trouble using flasher software on my laptop (XP).
ive got userport loaded and the addresses entered correctly.
gon in properties and- run as windows 95
also changed to EPP in bios.
i connect the cables and try to read (4 back-up) but the program seems 2 crash and uses 99% of ma CPU
if sum1 can help me get going ild appreciate it a lot

change it to Win98

do u mean change operating system or to run as win98?
i have tryed run as win98

I have learnt that XP is no good for flashing. Although with userport I managed to flash files across, I could not get any software for setting the FAID, so it was no help at all. You could set up a dual boot of 98 and XP, then you can use 98 for the mobile modding and XP for your everyday work.

i use winXP for flashing + updateing faid i have to use porttalk but i also have to use allowIO it doesn't matter with OS i run it as when i do this and i have no problems flashing or doing anything i couldn't before i upgrade to winXP

i read in a tutorial on userport that u have 2 go in2 bios and change OI setting 2 EPP can any1 assist me further as frustration is at high levels

i have porttalk + allowIO
im still avin trouble writing ma target to open ma flasher program
its saying invalid path
is this because of bad settings??

What do you mean by porttalk and allowIO? please explain further and if this is a windows file, please provide link where to download. I am also using WinXP.
