after u install the irda drivers, right click the item u want to send, den click send to irda.
otherwise go to my computer, click and drag the item to the irda icon.

Sorry but good service and consultancy comes at a price, especially when ur using a premium class fone.
However for my good friend the fee is a nominal Rs 500/-
I have tonnes of full color wallpapers, polytones, the best java games, hundreds of SIS games, applications, software, office utilities, etc etc etc for your phone..
Call 9868 30 33 17
If ur greeted by an answering machine do not hang up, just leave ur message .

I tried sending the file by right clicking it and sending it to infra red recepient.
but the connection hardly lasts for 2-3 seconds and I get "sending failed" or "unable to connect"

@prasad, try restarting the fone and pc, and try sending a file again. check the irda settings, make sure nth is amiss.

I restarted the pc and phone and checked the settings as well.Nothing seems to be wrong.Yet I cannot send ANYTHING from my phone to pc.While sending a file from my pc to phone (abt 32 kb) ,it showed 4 minutes remaining.Which I think is too much for only 32 kb.when half way thru sending the file i get the message "Infra red communication has been inturrepted.Reposition your device or clear the obstruction within 15 seconds"I get this message EVERY TIME i try to connect.I am not even touching the device.are there any particular settings for this ir device.

whoa, 4 min seems a lil bit too long!
change the transfer speed, choose the highest value available.
