tried to upload a mp3 using IR (to use as a ringtone) and it says file not supported.... what do i do? is there a prog or something that formats the mp3s to be usable for the phone?

well it's not lying to you - its not supported :)
6600s can't even have mp3 ring tones - they have to be converted to wav files - and i don't think 3650 can do those anyway. You'll just have to stick to your favourite midi tones i guess (as ring tones - you can still play mp3s with the right app - ultramp3 etc)

send the mp3 file via the pc suites <file transfer> option, it will convert to wav for u. send the file to sounds/digital folder so tt u can use it as ringtone.

Considering MP3 is a compressed version of the WAV, its pretty much impossibly for the MP3 to be cleaner than the WAV...

for ur info, the wav converted from mp3, sounds the same as the mp3 would sound if i play it from my fone using a mp3player.

it depends on the capability of ur fone, if its not stereo speakers, u wun get clear crisp sound. converting the wav makes the sound optimised for ur fone in terms or settings and bitrate of the song.

i heard amr format is v small and is good in quality too, not sure bout tt thou, aint tried tt.
