the purpose of the usb cable for the ngage is just to make it a mmc reader for the pc. u cant do installation(using pc suite, install stuff from the pc in to the phone) and stuff with it... all it allows u to do is to drag and drop files... that means wat u can do is to drag and drop installation files into it. then using a file explorer or the app. manager, locate the files and install it using th phone.

btw i realised that the app. manager of the ngage is able to detect installation files in the mmc regardless of where u put it. no need to look for the files using an explorer, unlike my 3650. or is it something tat could be done a long time ago?? :-P

in fact, u can install app and symbian games using the cable.(sis format stuff)

place the .sis file on the root e:, not in any folders. den run manager and install.

to install javas (.jar files), install a file explorer like fexplorer ( i recommend it, its freeware, from www.gosymbian.com), den place the jar file anywhere u like, go to fexplorer, click on the jar file to install.

to install and play ngage games...
go www.aboutnokia.com, read up the faqs there.

cheers.
