hi, if you goto app manager in the 7650, ur given a list of memory consumption for the different programs. the last two are mem. in use and free memory, but the mem in use doesnt add up to the amount of mem used by installed programs. how do i go and free the missing mem?

im asking cause ive recently installed a few java games and each come up with the 'memory low' error message and shut down. this is annoying as ive got at least 2921kb of free mem!

does anyone know what the problem is?

Lots of things you can try to free up more memory, the simplest would be to have a reboot and then immediately run the Java application that you wanna..
If that doesn't work then try to install System tools which will give you the ability to reboot into flight mode (less ram consumed)

Save game files, nes roms, theres all kinds of stuff that won't show up in memory details for instance even if you uninstall a program there are still files left behind. Some games like Worms will have memory low pop up and shut down when playing it on 7650 but on Ngage no problem, I don't know if that helps

thanks, got system tools and had a wee fiddle about with it, found some files that look like they where used by other games ive removed. what directories should i/should not delete from on the nokia 7650?

p.s, any way to stop that mem pop up on the 7650 for worms?
