My 7650 is from here and on, DEAD.
I accidently went in C:/System/Apps
thru Fexplorer and deleted all files.
First the all the added apps dissapered,
and when i tryed to restart my phone it
wouldnt go on.
It just started to light and showed the nokia banner,
then the banner went gone and after that the light went of.
It was like this for about 5-6times, then even the banner went lost,
and to the end the phone wouldnt even go on.
I took it the a mobile-store, and he tryied to flash it but i didnt work.
So yesterday i order i used 3650 for 140$ and declaired my 7650
DEAD.
Farväl 7650, talk in you when we see eatch other in mobile-heaven

What do you mean you "accidently" deleted all the C: Files?
Anyway, you can do a system reset at *#7370#, but because you cannot go into the phone ... I guess you can't do that.
Can Nokia 7650 do the GREEN+*+3 approach? I know the 6600 can. See if it works. Worth a try, all it does is copy the Z: Files to the C: so the Symbian OS can operate once more.
Your 7650 might be reincarnated ... if you know what I mean :D

That is what happened to my N-Gage. I had to send it in to Nokia Care.

Is it just my sadistic side coming through, but does anybody else find that quite amusing...?

Heh heh, how could you do that? I've seen a fair amount of threads of people who do this. Most people would think that deleting vital system files was a no-no.

try flashing it, flashing is the only solution now, and i tink the shop u brought it to, din try hard enough.
Rise. If. Possible. :D
But i cant start the damn phone, so then i cant press any commando.
+ the f*cking start-button is broken (a usual prob with 7650).
I think i thought that if i "deleted all" just all the files that didnt matter and just took memory would be deleted.
(cause with 7650 is the biggest problem the memory ;) )
When u delete something u cant delete in C:/system/apps the phone say that u cant do it.
But this time it didnt, and deleted all.
I dont wanna pay about 40-100$ just to send that old corp to nokia so they can fix it, i dont have that kind a money now,
and a used (not broken) 7650 is worth about 70-100$.
The store guy didnt know what to do with it, except useing his poor bodyparts..
OMFG, he wants to take his legs of !
What a cruel world!

Get it flashed or buy yourself a cable then simply do it on your own...
And tell the guy at the store that he's retarded, a flash always works when software crashed!!!
And bout that power button, just press it hard and long! Worked fine with my old 7650!
:sigh: still dun understand why on earth someone would delete his system files, like im gonna delete D:/windows on my pc ffs!!!
but the cables cost about 90euro,
and i dont have the money to waste on that old poop.
are u sure that i works to flash it?
cause he did,
and it didnt worked.

What software did you install on your phone? In most cases the crash is caused by a series60 app that corrupted your phone.
