Just out of curiousity ... what service providers are there for mobiles phones in your country?
In Australia, the main four are:
Optus
Telstra
Vodafone
Virgin Mobile
And your nation's?

Well I live in Australia, as you do, and I can't say that I have seen any other than what you have mentioned. Is there any others?

Wait ... I think I saw ORANGE in Sydney. Is there? I know QLD doesn't have the company Orange
Oh, and the company "3" ... specializes in 3G Networks and Technologies
Right? "3" definitely exists in QLD. Orange doesn't

in singapore, we have
1)starhub
2)singtel
3)m1
4)virgin mobile, now gone.
all 3 haf both pre paid and contract plans, and all three got plans wif free incoming calls.
im on starhub :)

in US eastcoast there's:

AT&T(I believe Cingular bought this for us$41Bil)

or you can use telecom if you want a non-gsm phone.

cool, last time i use singtel de... actually, in terms of reception quality, singtel best, but too bad, the incoming call free singtel contract sucks.
@duckle u study wat poly? yr wat? my frend also starhub wan, his plan v good wan, but i forgot got wat... hehe.

I'm on Optus Prepaid with my Nokia N-Gage.
Optus is part of the SingTel company. Wonder If I can come to Singapore and still use my Optus Prepaid tzeonn ... :-P

Pretty impressive for a country with 4 million people. But then again we got the second highest mobile density in the world...

Small country, few providers ;)

Well ... I know one company called "China Telecom". Not sure if there are anymore. I went to China to visit friends, and bought a Prepaid Pack :D

there are only 2 GSM provider in China.
1. China Mobile(Used to be China Telecom, now they are seperate companies)
2. China Unicom
3. China Telecom(Use phs technology, for local roaming only,poor reception)
