I bought an 8210 off good old ebay a while ago and it has never worked properly
I only bought it to charge up the battery of my 7210 but I did notice that it actually does get signal sometimes
heres the fault:
When you switch on it gets signal for about 15-30 seconds and then the signal dissapears
If I goto phone settings and then network selection it sees vodafone but I select it it says 'no access'
I have tried reflashing changing IMEI cleaning PCB with no results
any help is much appreciated
regards,
Danny

Daniel young man-you have one of the most common probs with the 8210[that and the screen!!] It is most likely that you have a diplexor or pa problem .You need to flow the 2 ics' first[heat with gun first to melt the solders underneath[probably best done by someone experienced].However it is likely you will need to replace one of the two. Try the diplexor first,as this is the easiest and the most likely on this little bugger to need fixing.
Hope this helps regards fix

Thought it may have been something like that
Unortunatly my 2nd hand hot air gun died and I have no money to buy a new one
If anyone in the UK could replace either the PA or Diplexor for me I will be willing to pay however much
thanks for the info
regards,
Danny
