I just bought a Cingular 6100 used from an ebay seller. For some reason it actually works with my T-mobile GSM card but I still want to unlock the phone. I tried using the Nokiafree.org generator but the code that I got didnt work.

Then I tried DCT4 Calculator by Cyberdog

I tried that code too but that didn't work and I noticed that it gave me a missing digit the nokiafree.org calculator missed. I have used up three tries so has anyone any suggestions to where I might try next or what I should use next?

If it works with T-mobile that means that the phone is allready unlocked. You cannot unlock it when its not locked. Its like opening an opened door.

Hmmm...I just thought it worked with T-mobile because T-mobile is considered Cingular in California or that is my phone said Cingular on the service thing when I went over there. I just thought thats how it works with T-mobile because I bought the phone from someone that lived over there.

Try any other simcard that is not from tmobile. if it is locked than you will be able to unlock it via code.If it accepts any other simcard then it means that it is not locked.

Thanks for suggesting that I try another company's sim card to make sure my Cingular 6100 was unlocked. Wierd how the seller didn't know that the phone was unlocked. Thanks again.
