8210 Can't get from 'messages' to inbox

8210, if you go to messages select inbox,outbox or write message
The screen goes blank but the light stays on.
It then needs rebooting....

Any ideas ?

Replace the screens elastomer,
Its the little rubbery thing that connects the screen to the circuit board

if you need the elastomer I have loads so if you can pay the postage I will send you a couple
If you are in the UK then I will send for free
They cost nothing by the way

Is it a simple thing to replace ? Also why has is failed ? I thought it was just a device to stop dust etc. getting onto the screen.

It is very easy to replace but you will need a T6 torx screw driver to open the phone up with

where is the elastomer positioned on the 8310? :-? . is there a picture on anything anywhere with a picture? :)
