For s60 installs as you all know you can install Opera onto it, however alot of webpages will cause out of memory on you, was wondering has anyone figured out how to make it use the MMC card to help in that?
Also the Cache is set to 512 by default, anyone knows what happens when you increase that and if you can? Just checking to see who is better with browsing on the phones. =) Thx.

Get Netfront Browser instead... bloody Opera is hopeless...
Ive been using Netfront for over 2 months now and it never once said anything about any memory probs...
oh and you can use the MMC card for the cache and saved pages too...
here is netfront browser....

you can make it more than 512 but I found no use for it, Ive increased it to 1024 without any probs...but brought it back down to 256 as I visit quite a lot of different sites each day...and the cache will effectively work if you only visit a few regular sites...

I have memory problems with Netfront as well as the Opera browser. I have not had any trouble with the Doris browser. I have tried them all and so far Doris wins hands down for me.

Netfront wins in my eyes.. using my mem card as the cache helps cause there is a reason I bought a big one lol.
But it can do SSL eh?
Also anyone know if you can do IRC on these? via java, cgi or app?

In Australia there is no free GPRS. Telstra Charges 22c connection fee and 2.2c per kb. Bloody expensive I got hit with a $500 bill in 1 month and I did fuck all on the phone just download a few apps and stuff and use my phone for email. So the Email and web browser features is of no use to me cause I'd rather pay for cable TV or broadband or something than use my phone for those small expensive features.

errr Optus Zoo is free this month....GPRS and LIVE TV streaming....
Ive already got 80mb on my GPRS counter and my balance is still the same (all that data was watching the FREE TV)
and the GPRS is limited at the moment as to where you can surf....
but like I said, get a bluetooth adapter and you use your PCs connection (mines a broadband connection) and watch how fast you download and surf...lol
ma ngage downloads at 256kbs (my broadband limit)...lol
cheers ;)
