MGS games for 6600

Is there a way to get MGS games working on 6600??

after alot of searching i found the MGS runtime for s60, didnt say anything about 6600 tho, but it seems to work. however the games dont, like cobra. i got to the menu but it crashes when ur about to enter a mission.

this would be really cool since the mgs games are among the best symbian games and many of them can be played over bt

u have to fiddle with it more than u fiddle with ur genitalia to get it working...

simply go to MSG webby and download the emulator to run the games,then install the games in and use a 'friendly' program to make it alot more 'friendly' for your use

i installed all the mgs games in my groups and i dont get any error

the error i get is "program closed MGS"

i installed the MGS runtime installer s60 from irc (it was in a 6600 games folder) then i installed a few games

Mobile VR pool - error at once
SilverBall - error at once
Tetrix - error at once
Cobra attack - get to the menu, crashes when im about to enter a mission/skirmish
Karting - get to the menu, crashes when im about to start a race

i tried to turn off the sound. no change

well, do u got a 6600 then? coz i know they work on 3650, 7650 and n-gage

I've got every MGs game installed they all work great, without sound though...

You might want to try reinstalling it

thx guys! it works now, when i reinstalled i installed v1.95 instead of v1.96 and that worked! really weird tho, dunno why a later version shouldnt work

yes, make sure its v1.95 and ONLY that version... also the problem might be that u installed the runtime on ur mmc and the game in phone mem. if the game was meant to 7650 u cant choose, and it will always install on phone mem. if so, move everything in the folder C:\101 to E:\101.... from the C drive to the E drive, then it should work
