Hi
There is a lot of different 256 mmc cards out there. some of them work quite well. the problem is that people keep listing cards as compatible when they've only tested them with mp3 or a couple of .sis files.
I think everyone here wants a 256mb card that does everything that there original 32mb nokia card could do!
So please test your card with the following files and then only post if you find a card that can do all the following.

- Works with blz files directly onto the card with no unpacking errors (i hate error messages, i just see red) esp if you have tested pandemonium or tony hawk on it
- Works when you copy the original nokia snow boarding game or fifa folder into the system/apps
- Works well with mp3 and movies (although i think that any card slightly compatible with the n-gage will do this)

we are not asking too much. the orig nokia card can do all this, and its a pain in the @R$£ to change mmc card whenever u wanna play fifa!
so help all n-gagers out there (and hurt companies who sell crap cards), post the cards that work and pass all tests.

cards above 128 wun b stable, some times, u get errors, if yea lucky, the mmc will b perfect.

brands tt work, TEC, twinmos, kingmax. TEC i heard is the best, no one got any probs wif their mmc. prob comes wif kingmax and twinmos, but twinmos is more stable.

example of errors i noe of:
twinmos: a frend of mine got a 256 one for their ngage. when open mp3 player, it takes ages, den shows error. u gotta open another time, and it will work again, other than tt, no other prob.

kingmax: erm, no one wif a ngage i noe of got tt mmc. honestly, i dun trust tt brand. but sometimes, 2nd best gotta make do when u got limited choices...

errors are part and parcel on ngage, especially when the space is more than 256. there may b other brands tt work, im sure.

i have a twinmos 128mb on my 6600 and it works 100%! my mate got a twinmos 256mb (on a n-gage) and that works perfect too... he didnt get the mp3 error as above... other stuff thats good with twinmos is that its faster than the 32mb card that came with the phone. so i think ull be safe with that one, but if some1 experienced errors with them then u might get a tec just to be sure. at least if theyr the same price. but if twinmos is cheaper then i would go for that

from the twinmos website it ses: "fully compatible with nokia 3650, 6600 and n-gage"

Hi, I have a dozen different cards and the problems mentioned in this thread I've seen. I think using windows to format the card is probably the cause :-)

I have found any problem I have had with accessing the files system was taken care of when I formated the card in my 9210i. Windows formats gave me all sorts of bugs, from empty folders when I know there were files in there, and the like.

16 mb cards never had a problem with them.. just the 256 mmc's and formating them took care of it.
