7250 -> 7250i Upgrade, for those who are interested

DCT-4 Nokia box, supporting reading ASK files, and writing RPL.
You can use UFS-2 Tornado, Griffin, Prodigy UEM tools, Neelix 3 box with apropriate software, original nokia soft and equipment, and, Matrix revolution.

Yes, Its a simple flash solution to change from 7250 to 7250i. Its like the T68 to the t68i (sony ericsson).

Cheers the the message, If its not to much trouble cud u point me to a thread or give me an idea of how to do this + the flash files? Also becuase i hear stories of peoples phones breaking and coming back with "contact service" i am a bit worried about doing it. But help would be appreciated.

Do you have the flashing equip and software or do you need to purcahse it.

No i am a new to flashing tbh, so i havent got any flashing equipment/software but have been reading all the forums aroudn this topic that i can find and get very mixed results from it.

If you could help me with what i would need that would be very helpfull.

Also read a while ago that nokia would be doing an official upgrade so i tried ringing a service centre but they said it was impossible and it would just freeze and break the phone lol.

NOT BY just flashing. You must get the ASK file of your 7250 and get calculated it for 7250i RPL (you must pay for that).
Then you can write that RPL to your phone and flash your phone with 7250i flash files.

If you just write 7250i flash files in to 7250, you will get 'CONTACT SERVICE' for sure.

Best tool to write 7250i RPL is Griffin.

Cheers for the message, Hope you dont mind my string of questions...

So firstly to read the ASK file of my 7250 i need a griffen box, where could i get 1 of those in the UK do you know?
THen how/where do i get the rpl calculated?
Then i write the rpl file to the phone with the griffen,
then i flash 7250i files? Also i hear different things about what version of 7250i files to use, so which version of 7250i firmware should i use? I seem 2 remember reading 3.08 was the best 2 use.

Hope you dont mind all these q's?

Out of interest have u sucsessfully managed 2 do this?

RPL calculation - Griffin online server

You can use latest flash files for 7250i.

Steps;

1. Read the ASK file from 7250
2. Get the calculated RPL from that ASK
3. Write the RPL file to 7250
4. Flash 7250i MCU, PPM, CNT pack to the phone.
5. Write 7250i PMM (PM) file
