MMC or SD

When visiting amsterdam airport Schipol, i was told that Secure digital cards are the "same" as Multi Media Cards (MMC). When i tried out a SD 256mb for my 3650, it fit into the slot, but it didnt work. Is this because the 3650 doesnt support 256mb or if it because of the fact that the card was SD?

well i dont really know much about it but from what i have heard you can put MMC cards in SD devices but not vice-versa.. these phones are MMC only

yup, nokia fones support onli MMC, not sd or any other cards. (mayb reduced mmc can... erm...)

It all depends, some devices are SD only and some are MMC only, and some are both, Nokia phones are MMC only. SD cards won't even fit in the phone most times.

no u can't use SD card on 3650 these r only for version higher then 3.16
only mmc will work.

That's right, MMC and SD are TOTALLY different, even though they may look the same, they are not.

Yes they look same but they r poles apart. Only a MMC will work.
hey any one of u know from where i can buy online a MMC of 128 in India and a trusted one or someone near delhi and around. how much it costs?

mmc and sd cards are different in size. sd cards are thicker and have 2 more connections on it. when i tried to put one in my 3650 when i first got it (not knowing much about it then) it wudnt fit.

Hmmm... This would be helpful to the people who think that they are the same, it's especially bad when you buy yourself a nice big SD card, find out that it is not compatible, and you can't take it back.
