Hi this is my first post on this forum cos I just got my 6600 on friday so I am hunting for some good (free if possible) apps.
Is there a SMS counting app available for the 6600!
Thanks!

It doesn't appear so.
All I want is to have a number that tells me how many message have been sent.
A bonus would be to see how much time I have spent calling certain numbers!
This is to make sure that I don't go over my monthly text and wap minutes allowance.
I wonder if you could set up 1 media message to equal 4 SMS (as this is what it equals in my free message allowance!)
Thanks!

Download minutes manager. You tell it how many free mins etc you get, and it will display how many free mins you have left on the standby screen. Its been designed for American networks, but all the options can be changed, so I've got it working with O2 UK. Also, it doesn't rely on the sms in folders, so if you delete the messages, the counter doesn't get reset to zero. Its worth a shot. You can find it on avianet.

Pardon my ignorance but where / what is avianet?
So I can just reset the SMS counter on my billing date?
Can you make 1 media message equal 4 SMS?
Thanks for your help!!

You can put in which day of the month your bill starts on, so it automatically resets. Im not sure about modding it for MMS, but it will cover all your calls and standard SMS.

Yep, I have done, cuz I get my WAP for free, so I don't want it counted. There is a section for listing ignored numbers, such as 999, 911 etc. I just went into the access point settings for my wap connection, copied the number, and pasted it into the ignored number. Now only my voice calls are recorded and deducted off my free mins. Hope that helps.

I am not sure how to set up for anytime minutes!
My calling plan is :
200 Minutes anytime / any network
500 Free SMS
500 Free Wap Minutes
So what do i set Peak and off peak minutes to?
Also is it a resource hog! And does it start up automatically on phone startup?
Thanks!

Yeah, the O2 online tariffs are pretty cool. Im on the PAYG online tariff, with 300 sms (well, i have 200 sms and 25 MMS), 300 wap mins or equiq of GPRS. All as long as you top up £10 each month, which stays on the sim. Pretty damn good.
If you have anytime mins, just set peak time from 1:00 to 1:01 or whatever. I think there might even be an option to have anytime mins anyway... Im not too sure. If you don't want it running in the background, hold down the menu key, and close it manually. Although, this will shut down the number of free mins left thingy. On my 3650 with FW 4.13 it doesn't affect batt life much at all. I did used to keep closing it down, and it didn't stop it calculating and that, but now i just leave it going. Too lazy to keep shutting it down.
where can I download this program, I cant find it on aivanet?
