When using MP3Go with a Nokia headset with my 3660, the sound doesn't seem to be very loud at all. Is there any way to amp the volume?

Well, first of all ... i don't think the 3660 was designed for mp3s ... so expect too much lol

But, yea ... I realized that the Loudspeaker and Handsfree (not BT Headset) is practically the same quality when playing. But this was on my 6600 though

Btw, is the 3660 good? Better than 3650 i presume ...

Awww, what a fool I am. I bought this phone because I was told it could play MP3s with a special application.

Well, I can only compare the 3660 with my old phone, which was just a 3350, so it's better than that.

At least it has a camera and video player I suppose.

From memory, these are the phones that have MP3 support:

Nokia N-Gage
Sony Ericsson P900
Siemens SX1

Not sure about P800. I know 7610 soon to be released will have MP3 support. If I haven't listed one, sorry about that. But yea ... many more to come (hopefully!)

But I just bought this phone! I guess I could trade-in.

Isn't there some sort of headset that could amplify the volume?

Or is that just wishful thinking?

Yep, it's a very useful application for editing songs.

Where can I download it?

Forgive me if I sound lazy, but my track record in downloading program files that I've searched for is not very good... I always seem to get a virus of corrupt file of some sort that ruins my system.

You got broadband? It's around a 20 meg download.

For louder volume when using headset try this:
Go to Menu > Settings > Enhancement > Enhancements in use, and select loopset in stead of headset.

It works for me but I’m using a 6600 and UltraMP3, but maybe it will also works for a 3660 and MP3Go.

Let me know if it works

No, I don't, only 56K. But if it's on a server somewhere, I'm willing to download it.

For 3660, it's "Accessory" instead of "Enhancement".

That seems to make the vol higher (I have both MP3Go and UltraMp3), but when I choose loopset, it also plays through the loudspeaker, so I can't really make a proper comparison with headset. Any way to turn off the loudspeaker?

I have both actually, but when I lock the keypad with UltraMp3, the volume goes down for some reason.

@lumino

It was a while ago that I downloaded Cool Edit Pro 2, so I can't remember the link. I do remember that the place that referred me to it was www.astaforum.com though. Hope that helps.

Also, Sound forge is also a good program for the alterations of MP3s.

Plug the headset in after you've open UltraMP3, then it will play only through the headset

thats the prob wif 3650, u need to plug it half way, den 3/4, then plug it all in, so no sound will come out from fone. sometimes u get sound from both fone and speaker. so push it slowly.

When you select loopset you don't have to do this, you can just plug it in fully in one time.

But you have to open the mp3-player first
