There is a player that Helix is working on for S60 plataform, it supports various types of media files which is the first player that does that in S60. It supports 3GPP rel5 SMIL, RealAudio, RealVideo, MP3, MP4A, H263+, AMR NB/WB, images and several other datatypes. Its pretty impressive and its on Beta for the testing on the following link https://symbian.helixcommunity.org/.

I haven't had the time to download it myself as I am still at work but I will give it a try as soon as I get out. If you guys test it out tell me what your opinion is and remind yourself its just in beta.

Can someone plz explain what the use is of this program. I've installed it, and i know that you can stream stuff with it. (basicly the same engine as real player) but it also supports mp3! and that function doesn't work. I mean, I can't load any songs with it.
Or is it a mp3 endcoder for movies and stuff, like smartmovie.

SO,

1. what is the functionality of this program?

2. where can one find streaming links to parse in the player?

thnx for the effort,

bye
